“The best Rock-N-Roll band I ever heard in my life, the Original Delaney & Bonnie and Friends.”
– Paul Williams, President ASCAP

In 1969, music was the voice of a worldwide revolution. Crossing all color lines, music was able to inspire, inform, invoke and unite people that shared the common belief that war and violence were not the answer to our problems. From the Vietnam War to the Civil Rights Movement, music changed the world and in turn, the world changed music.

Music legends Delaney & Bonnie Bramlett created some of the most distinctive and unique music of the 60’s & ’70’s Together their dynamic energy attracted Eric Clapton, George Harrison, Duane Allman, Billy Preston, Jimi Hendrix, Dave Mason, Leon Russell, Gerry McGee, King Curtis, Jim Gordon, Carl Radle,  Rita Coolidge, and many others to collaborate as “Friends”.

Besides their recorded legacy, Delaney and Bonnie influenced many fellow musicians of their era. Most notably, Eric Clapton has said that “Delaney taught me everything I know about singing,” and Delaney has been credited by George Harrrison as the person who taught George how to play slide guitar, a technique Harrison used to great effect throughout his solo recording career.

Delaney & Bonnie and Friends deserves induction into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
